DIY tray from pallet wood ... (in progress)

In the parking lot of the local Lowes, they sometimes throw away pallets. On my way to the car I noticed this pallet which has some awesome patterned wood, a light color with dark veins. I could not help myself and I snatched it! Here's a pic of the planks that were interesting.

What could I make from this wood that showcases this beautiful pattern? A tray!
